Now that I have your attention with the subject, I'm not gonna be complaining about you the meat eaters. Relax, I like my meat too, it's are very delicious. Sorry if anything is messed up/not spelled right/not correct grammar- It's rather late where I am.

There's a reason animals can't/don't have rights. See, we humans have an understanding that killing others of our species is BAD (well some of us). We have morals (for the most part), religion, culture, blah blah blah. Even the most intelligent species dolphins and apes, participate in gruesome and horrifying acts of violence against other species, and of their own kind. Now I'm not saying WE don't. But what I am saying is that why should we stop killing for food, if bottlenose dolphins continue to kill babies to get girl dolphins to come into heat, and they kill species of porpoises for the heck of it, while over in Africa the chimps are warring with other troops, and eating monkey brains for lunch. If we gave animals some rights, they should have them all. People want to stop killing dolphins and make them citizens? Well they kill their young and others. What then? Dolphin jail? Teach them it is wrong?

I'll point out that I come here from the Japanese dolphin hunt in Taiji. I am all for it, and I am a 19 year old white girl in the USA. (Please don't tell me I have a small male genitalia, I have already received many comments from people who have claimed that. They do not like it when I say I am a girl ) The reason I am for it, is because it is a local source of food that isn't relying on the food industry, those species they catch are not endangered, and while yes they are high in mercury, most people don't realize the pesticides and fertilizers that are used are toxic and from petrochemicals. That and some of the people fighting it are downright idiotic and rude, saying that Japanese people are sub-humans, using racist terms, wishing earthquakes, tsunamis and nuclear bombs upon them, and a whole slew of other nasty comments. The way these people put animals in front of other humans is one of the reasons we don't have world peace yet

There's an argument the the animal rights people have- First they say we are no better than animals, but then they say only we can save them. It puts us in a position of power, making us... better? No, I'd say more powerful. I've seen all sorts of silly comments from these people, from "Other cultures have changed, why can't we?" to "Animals don't kill for fun! And when they do kill, they kill quickly!" They HATE the religion argument.

I have been trying to explain that some cultures and religions see animals, people, and plants as equals, and that they kill because they have too. This doesn't sit well with them, because they only want to save what they think is cute/special. There's plenty of species that are well on their way of becoming extinct, like the Chinese giant salamander, and the gharial and nobody seems to give a single thought about them. Only the cutesy, smart-ish, majestic animals.

On the kill quickly subject. LOL. NO. They don't. Not even dolphins do. They rip apart baby porpoises. Bears rip apart live moose. Hyena rip apart baby warthogs. And you know who cares? Well besides the animal rights people who think all animals should be vegans, NO ONE CARES. IT'S NATURE. THE WORLD CONTINUES TO SPIN.

On that note, this reminds me of George Carlin's Saving the planet. Youtube it. Laugh. Or you know, you can tell me I have a small dick, and try and insult me. Either one works.

Yeah animals do kill for fun just like some people do. I hate it when people say animals don't kill for fun and only
kill for food and survival. I've also mentioned on here like you said about animals would have to have all rights
like people, not some rights and would have to go to jail.

Ok, first off, not ALL ara's want animals to be vegan and tbh, you'd have to be insane to ignore nature and the fact that herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, frugivores, insectivores etc exist. Next, majority of ARA's DO care about all animals, whether they are cute or not. That's a very broad brush you're sweeping there. Also, you think it's ok to round dolphins up in shallow water and hack at them? Even most hunters would say you're sick and twisted for saying that's ok.


Btw, you claim that if we give rights to animals we should give them ALL rights. Then why aren't we giving the mentally handicapped and children ALL human rights? That's what should happen with your logic. Fact of the matter is, animals only need certain rights, just like children only need certain rights. There's no such thing as 'all rights for everyone' since even gender can change the rights you're entitled to (i.e. females have a right to an abortion - a right a male can never have).


Oh btw, an alive prey can fight back, it's in a predatory animal's best interests to kill a prey as soon as so most predators WILL kill asap. Some don't, granted, but most do. Oh, and most people hate the religion argument, not just ARA's because religion is used to justify all sorts of atrocities, not just animal abuse. Using an imaginary sky fairy to justify cruelty to humans or animals makes you look a fool.

Firstly, this wasn't addressed to all ARA's and vegans. Never did I say ALL. This was addressed to the people who want to change people using VIOLENCE, TERRORISM, RACISM, and SEXISM. And also to the hypocritical people who say it ok to kill this one animals, but not this one because it is CUTE or what have you.

There's people that feed their cat's vegan diets. So they do exist.

Like I said not addressed to all of you, stop assuming. There's some species, like the vaquita, gharial, West Indian Ocean coelacanth, baiji (if it still alive) and the Chinese giant salamander that NO ONE TALKS ABOUT. Those species are all critically endangered, and I never see anyone talking about the,. It's always SAVE THE WHALES, DOLPHINS. and SEALS.

The Japanese don't HACK at them. That's illegal in Japanese law. The only way that a dolphin can be killed in Japanese law is by harpooning/stabbing through the spinal cord, which severs the cord. If they don't do that, it is ILLEGAL. Whether or not they do that isn't my business, it's the Japanese governments. Murder is still applicable to children and mental patients. If they kill another human, they can be charged and have a court case. We don't excuse it because they are a child or a mentally ill. So let's take dolphins. Bottlenose dolphins kill their young every once in a while. By law, which we all follow in the USA, they would have to be charged with murder. They can't testify if they did or didn't, but if someone filmed them, they evidence against them. Then what? Death penalty? Or jail for life? So then we need dolphin jails. Or what if they kill a human? Same deal? Because if we killed them, we would be thrown in jail if they had 'rights'

Then we need to start taxing dolphins because we are providing a service- jail- to them. The mentally handicapped and children are still taxed here in the US. We have income tax, property tax, goods tax, bank account tax. Do we start taxing the dolphins when they are in US coastal waters?
I know alive prey can fight back. Most predators kill as soon as possible? What about a hyena ripping off a squealing warthog leg? Or a bear gnawing on a moose's back. A wolf chewing off a lamb's face?
Or here's an interesting one. I live on a horse farm. We had a mare (female horse) chew off her foal's back, stop here, and refuse to feed her. We had barn cats that we free to come and go that would eat their young.
Region isn't all about Christianity's "sky fairy." There's religions that believe in a myriad of things. AND GUESS WHAT. IT'S SHAPED EVERY CULTURE ON EARTH. From Muslims not eating pork, and Jews not eating shellfish, and Hindus not eating beef. In the case of Japanese people, their strong Shinto and Buddhism overtones from the past have shaped their culture. They believe that every animal, human, and plant (and some non-living things) is equal, and before they eat, they pray to not their "Sky fairy's" but to the plants and animals that sacrificed their life so they can continue living. They believe all killing is bad, but realize that they have to kill to live. You can deny God(s) and Goddess(es) exist, but you can't deny religion doesn't exist. It's their choice, not your's, not mine.

I agree completely. I believe everything (except the worst off species) can have a quota on them. Just because they are intelligent, cute, whatever it shouldn't matter. If it's edible, and it is good shape population-wise, then dig in.
I hope animal rights won't happen, but I have friends that seem to think otherwise. The ARA's people like to target young women and girls because they seem to be the most emotionally sensitive.... I guess... Just an observation.

Here's my favorite saying: My penis is so small that it's an innie!!!! Usually it takes a while for them to figure out that I mean I have a vagina instead of a penis. Sometimes they take it as that I'm fat. I don't really care how they take it, I get a giggle out of it.

Anyways, WELCOME TO THE BOARDS! You make some very good points, valid points to boot.

As I have stated in a different thread, that if we give animals rights, they still fall under our law. Therefore, if an animal kills even one of us, even if it's in defense of their territory, they have to be jailed, put on trial, executed, etc. All of which us taxpayers have to pay. Really, if people thought about it, giving animals right would increase our taxes and I don't think PeTA-driven vegans will get a tax break just because they voted not to kill them. If anything, they should be taxed higher cause they're the ones who wanted it that way.

There was a court case recently that PeTA or whoever took SeaWorld(?) to court for their Orcas because of the first amendment (I think, somebody please correct me on this if I'm wrong). Here's what I think: If animals fall under constitution (amendment, whatever, I'm not from the U.S. so I have no idea about these things), they fall under all of them. Which can cause a lot of problem. Since they do not understand them, will there be a ARA accompanying each and every animal, making sure they follow them? Will there be an assigned task force that makes sure they don't "break" any of the amendments or laws? Again, higher taxes will need to paid in order to enforce laws.

I don't pretend I understand the constitution, nor do I care cause I'm not a US citizen, but seriously.... anything that is given rights falls under the law. There won't be special made laws that only animals have to follow, cause they won't follow law. They don't have the skills to do so (AKA reading and the cognitive ability to understand them). We already have laws pertaining to animals, they are a bit slack and need tightening up a bit. It's called Animal Welfare, if anything, we need to focus on that instead of "rights". Would each individual species have laws? Would each country have laws for their native species? Example: If cows were given laws (beyond all exalted religious standing), like "cows are only allowed to eat this grass on a specific time/date/etc", do you really think they will be able to understand that law. Have even tried reasoning with a cow? If you have, you know it's a lost cause. If you haven't... it's a lost cause.

I'm rambling on about the same things over and over again... so I'm gonna stop while I'm ahead and walk away with my ADD riddled head held high. xD
