You say you love animals yet that just seems quite unbelievable when the slogan and logo are so... anti-animal! That's the first thing i saw and to be honest it was the only thing i needed to see for this website to be summed up for me.

Do the work and find out for yourself about the issues your commenting on, then you can comment all you want. But your statements so far loudly suggest that you've made up your mind on a number of issues based on ASSUMPTIONS and MISINFORMATION, which is why folks are questioning your motives and age.

I honestly don't care where you end up on an issue, but where I differ from groups like PeTA are, rather than spoon-feeding you "THE FACTS" according to my own personal agenda (as PeTA tends to do), I'd rather you go research the topic yourself and find out the facts on your own. I know i'm not always right. I posted on this website to try and understand. I couldn't care less whether you listened to me or not, but to those who have thanks. It's interesting how you tell me i'm too young to know whats right. But what if i was fifty rather than fifteen and came back saying the same thing? or i had a diploma? would you call me stupid then? how many of you actually have a diploma?
My family try to use animal friendly products wherever possible. Yeah my mum does the shopping, yeah i eat meat. That's not the issue. The intensive rearing of these animals is cruel, the treatment of animals in fur farms is horrific. They have no quality of life at all, how is that fair? You might say 'They're just animals, who gives one?!' but i do. I know you care about animals, you made that very clear. My point was simply that your slogan doesn't sound like you do. Who knows maybe if it was different more people might join you instead of being shocked or appalled at how grim your website sounds.

If you had taken a little more time to actually educate yourself about this site and the members, you would know that many of us actually work with animals.
We do not condone violence and cruelty towards animals, unlike PEtA.
We do not systematically kill animals (pets), as PETA does.
We are not pretending to be a charity.

You claim that your age is not of importance, which would hold true, if you were well spoken, and educated on the subject, which you have proven not to be.
But since you insist, I am going to do you the favour of taking "age" out of the quotation.
So excuse me if I say so, but even IF you were 50 instead of 15 I would still go out of my way to call you stupid. It seems to me that you did not bother to do research or that your research was done mostly on websites associated with the charity-mafia that is PETA. I have to admit that most of their material does seem very shocking indeed, but only until you go out of your way to find more sources. Some will show you the exact opposite, probably because they are influenced by the fur-lobby, some will show you what PETA showed you and some will show you the truth. The truth being that the material PETA uses is not representative, since they only use the most shocking images available, sometimes even going as far as using staged material.
So, as long as you make harsh critical statements without presenting somekind of source material, as long as you don't manage to actually make your case clear and write coherent arguments you will still be stupid in my book.

First of all, I never once in my life ate a living thing.
I only eat dead animals.

Discriminating against animals, because they have rights, too?
WE are speciescist?
Us humans, as a species, allow other organisms to inhabit OUR territory. We tend to them, feed them and even give them some rights, which is more than most animals would ever do for us. If you were to live in the wilderness, do you honestly expect a bear to respect your "right" to live?
We are probably the single least speciecist species on this planet.
We want other species to prosper, since they benefit us.
Of course, humans have done horrible things to one another, but towards animals?
We have no organized genocide to drive specific species to extinction, since we respect their right to exist. Granted, sometimes we take it upon ourselves to judge wether or not a group of animals gets to live or die, but we do that to feed and clothe ourselves.
3rd. I hate Nazi-comparisons.
What they did to other human beings is nigh indescribable. They did not only abuse and torture as they saw fit, they also methodically killed humans for no reason other than to kill them. They sought no purpose besides exterminating a specific group of humans, who defined themselves by having a particular faith.
Even the mere thought that you would even consider this comparison makes me mad, and I am willing to declare you an enemy of mine. I don't know much about you, but what I do know is enough for me to hate you.

Animals are not equal in worth to humans. They are animals. I would gladly kill fish or pigs or cows or chickens to feed me and my family, but I would never kill and eat a human. In my eyes, a human life is worth so much, because I can communicate with said human, the human has emotions I can understand, motivations, dreams, thoughts, and a sense of self. Humans seek to understand the world, they can have collective dreams, they form groups and they fight, but I understand them. Animals on the other hand I don't understand. I don't know IF they think, how they think, as far as I am concerned, most animals are horrible, motivated only by their most primal desires ans instincts.
Humans made it to the moon, not cows and chickens.

Yeah some of their tactics are mad, but overall i agree with them. Seeing the title of your website... well it's sad how you can take something that's trying to do good and make it into a joke. I'm fifteen years old and its kind of like something i'd hear someone at school say when they're trying to get a laugh. I think you may be confusing "animal rights" with animal welfare.  Animals do not have rights "just like us" but any civilized person would agree that cruelty to animals is wrong. I'm not against improving conditions on farms; for one thing, a contented animal probably makes much better meat than a miserable one.  There are very good and pro-human reasons to support some form of animal welfare.

But rights?  No.  Maybe if I hear that the pigs on a farm have started an organization called "Animals for the Ethical Treatment of People" I'll rethink my position.  But till then, I don't expect the concept of rights to apply to any species other than man.
