question for veg*ns
« on: October 06, 2011, 08:46 pm »
Why does it seem that the majority (90%) of veg*ns all
1. Praise obama
2. have a great dislike for religion
3. embrace socialism
4. think they are superior to all others in the human race.

IMHO:

Plenty of non-vegans here fit #2.

Some non-vegans here fit #1 and 3.

Very few non-vegans here fit #4.

As for #2 - not sure I agree with majority of vegs falling under that one considering the Jesusveg sites, and numerous but feeble attempts at using bible passages to promote a veg agenda.

Lately, not sure how many veg/non-veg would praise Obama. Tolerate, maybe, especially if like last time, there are no better other options (yet to be determined for this next election). Praise Obama? I dunno about that....

Thats why I said 90%,
I play on another site now and again that is for veg*ns, I have learned that the vast majority of them fit all above catagorys.
I figure it must just be the ones that would be attracted to that type of site?

I wasn't going to reply to this but seeing as the popcorn's out......

Really?? the majority of vegans??
Where did you get that from?

1. from what I gather Obama's doing OK and he's a garzillion times better than his twat faced predecessor, but praise him? No.
2. Yeah - I fucking hate religion. Look at the problems it causes. I don't dig anything that dictates how someone should live their life. Spirituality I can dig, but religion is the root of all (well, a lot of) evil.
3. I'm borderline socialist. In a perfect world I'd support anarchism but there's far too many selfish A holes for anarchy to ever work.
4. I don't think I am superior to other people. Equal to yes, but superior no.

Eating meat no longer collates with my survival - it's unnecessary and unneeded to kill living beings for the sole reason of gluttony.

The most wonderful thing about the human race is that we are so diversely different. The most horrible thing is that we don't accept that.

It may be the type attracted to the site. Dunno, but like Jeni said, majority?

My reason for citing the non-vegans on this site is if you made certain generalizing statements of non-vegans based on this site, I doubt it would represent the broader spectrum.....no matter the reason.

Problem is that vegans get a bad name is because of a small percentage of them are the loud fundamentalist types. And yes, those types will fit in the above especially the "I am better than you, you fucking pus sucking, animal torturer, rotting corpsemuncher."

1. He is not doing ok. He has done little. His predecessor was a politician.
2. Organized religion sux.
3. I support the rights of the individual tempered with a little bit of team player towards my fellow citizens.
4. I am not superior to another American.

Yeah, but you're not vegan so go and get your own questions.

and those few give "carnivores" a bad name, by pissing a surly few of "us" off so bad we crap in their helmets like an ugly halloween jackolantern.

by saying the most heartless things an omnivore or meat eater could ever say to a "fragille" person who is demonstrating their caring and sensetivity by trying to not hurt things with a detectable pulse.

since others have opened up and shared, at the risk of being run off by an angry mob, I will do the same, just so we know where we stand.
 1. I do not like or respect obama at all
 2. I dislike organized religion and most of the things they do, however I am a Christian and do try (not so well at times) to live that lifestyle
3. There are some programs that could be considered social that I agree with, but for the most part I want people to work for what the have when they are able.
4. My wife constantly assures me that I am not superior to anyone in the human race or some sub species of life forms. She has informed me that I will agree with her..

The vast majority of vegans I know anything about are on the internet.  I know very few in real life, and not one of them is an ara.  Maybe not even totally vegan either, but they say they are so it's none of my business to make the "prove" it or anything.

So most of the vegans I read on forums are snot nosed spoiled brats.  It's very easy to tell by reading forums posts, the vast majority are spoiled little rich white kids.  Of course they would like socialism.  In their young lives they have had everything handed to them without having to put forth any effort to get it.  Most of them hate Judeo-Christian religions.  Any of the "cool" religions are just fine but you know, Christianity just isn't cool, man!

As far as Obama, just a guess, but most of them probably had fucking hippy tree-hugger parents and are just parroting what mommy and daddy say and have no freaking clue in the world about anything political.  Other than "Oh we can save all the poor widdle animalz if everyone would just be vegan!!!111!!!"  But real politics?  Most are clueless.

Sorry, I fucking hate ara's.  Shouldn't  shock anyone, since I host a forum called peta-sucks.
