Brett farve may be a playing for the Eagles......
« on: August 03, 2011, 04:18 pm »
The Eagles may be interested in Brett Farve. Putting up farve as a back up for micheal vick.
I don't think Brett Farve should be playing still, i know Mike vick has a lot of injuries,
but i don't think Brett should play at all at the age he is. I thought for sure he would
officially retire....

Uhhh... no. Brett Favre will never play again. He was pushing it last year and really showed his age. It was only a fluke that he did well in 2009 when he first played for the Vikings.

That honestly, the Eagles need to do better than Vick anyway.

That's what i thought when he said he was retiering.  I know it may be a good idea to get a good back up or replace vick......but Farve
is'nt  a good chioce..

Maybe. But then again, some might say they did a lot worse than Vick previously. Odd thing to me about Eagles fans - they never seem to be content/happy, even when they're winning. Shit, Skins fans would be thrilled just to have a winning season.

I wouldn't mind at all if Favre went to the eagles. I enjoy watching him play and last season would've been a lot better for him if he wasn't so beat up. Plus it would be interesting to see who would end up as starter.

Favre needs to stay out of the game as a player. Concussions add up.

The Eagles recently got Vince Young to back up Vick, so getting Favre is unlikely.

He could come to Cincy for a year to teach the current crop of kids we got the ropes. Seeing as Palmer is more than likely bailed out for good. Farve coyuld be classified as a player, but would act more like a QB coach.

Agree on the Philly thing. They really have no need. There was a good article on them. They could take the NFC East this upcoming season.

Favre'll go to a team like Cincy. One that needs a practice team QB.

A. Your scouting report sucks.
B. Your options are lacking again.

They said the same thing last year about the Cowboys but ended up with the Eagles. But even then the Eagles tied with the Giants (who are fucking all over the place, between QB hulk smashing to sucktastic) at 10-6.

Eagles looked good against the Ravens. Vick did well. Young, meh. Tyrod Taylor showed a few moments of skills, but got sacked and knocked around a lot.

Not planning to watch the Skins first preseason tonight. I don't even know who they're playing losing to tonight.
