anybody know if the new nintendo console will be backwards compatable? I know it's not a 360, but I have a few games for the wii that I really like.

Yep, all the Wii games will work for it. It just won't update their graphics as they were built for the Wii system.

Doooode, fuck the WiiU. The damn console is not even 5 years old, is it? I'm not about to buy another Nintendo console. Yo soy done. The only reason why I have the damn thing is to play Zelda.

it would really rule if it played gc titles too, and if they addressed the overheating problem the wii is prone to

That Wii U looks fat and horrible to hold. The PS Vita looks like it's just asking for something to go wrong with it with cramming so many gadgets into it.

I don't own any GC games so backwards compatibly isn't an issue here. I wonder how backwards compatible it is with the Wii. Will some non motion control extensive games (say, New Super Mario Bros Wii or Donkey Kong County Returns)be able to be streamed on the controller and played well, or is streaming only a WiiU game thing?

The 3ds lineup looks good. I will be buying most of those games. Its also nice to have all the features of the 3ds released thanks to the update. I've been fooling around with the 3d Pokedex and taking some AR pictures. Maybe I'll post one if I feel like it.

Well, I seem to have run off on a different but related topic so I'll just stop here.

Trut  be told, I've never had a problem with an overheated Wii and I hardcored quite a few games on it. The Xbox however...
They claimed to fix the problem on the new model but I can't yay or nay that

Ya, I've never had a problem with my Wii over heating, and I've done a seven hour CoD: Black Ops marathon several times now.

And I'm kinda digging the new WiiU controller, it looks like it will be fun as hell.

I've never even heard of wii over heating...I've actually never seen anyone complain their wii broke either.

Not much can be said for the PS3 or Xbox though. My 60gb got the YLOD after 3 and a half years use.

All I've heard from E3 is that Mine Craft is going to be on XBox Kinect, and I could really care less.  I never even touch my XBox 360 anymore, especially since my basement flooded and I don't have a play room anymore.

I've left my XBox running for days (not on purpose) and never had a problem.  My brother babied his like an only child and it payed him back with the red ring of death within 3 months of purchase.
