So if a pound of beef takes 3,500 gallons of water, what difference does it make? How many vegetarians drive a car? To make a car (including tires), it takes about 40,000 gallons of fresh water. That's not including the gas it takes to run the car, the electricity to run the gas station, the water used to create the boat that brought your precious oil, the water used to create the pavement you drive on, the destruction of toxic chemicals that went into creating your clothes, and the electricity you use every day to send me stupid emails over the internet. Every year you are directly responsible for the consumption of billions of gallons of water. There are 26 million people suffering preventable brain damage from iodine deficiency, and another 1.5 billion people at risk. Nevermind that, you have animals to save. By driving your cars, you pump billions of tons of poison into the atmosphere and you're slowly killing us all. The computer you use requires 250 watts of electricity, let alone the billions of computers required to keep you on the internet. All consuming energy. All contributing to pollution. Let's just ignore those minor hypocrisies. Someone wants to enjoy a burger and you'll be damned if you're going to let them.

carob is NOT just as good as chocolate
Chocolate (cocoa) is naturally vegan. It's the milk chocolate that isn't.

You can't eat cookies, cake, Probleley not even Milk Chocolate bars. They're is a lot of Foods made of
with eggs and milk.
False. There are vegan alternatives to all these. And many store bought baked goods are accidentally vegan. I can get vegan cupcakes (at 2 places) and vegan cheesecake less than a quarter mile from where I currently sit.

True, but false.  If it's not made with cheese, technically it isn't cheesecake.  I can take an appropriately sized rock and paint it to look like a baseball.  It may be the same size and weight as a baseball, and essentially serve the same function, but it's not a baseball.  But that's being overly anal.

As far as the part of the quote that got snipped...

Quote
Vegans do have a strict diet.

Very true.  As an omnivore I can pick any item up out of any shelf from any aisle of a grocery store I want and it won't conflict with my moral tendencies.  Not so easy for a vegan, or even a veggie.  Any vegan/veggie that claims it's just as easy to abide by such a diet is either ignorant, in denial, or full of fecal matter.

It sounds like a matter of personal taste, too me. The best chocolate I've had was non-dairy and 100% raw . Also, some of the Endangered Species chocolates are to die for. Hershey's, for example, has always tasted like shit to me, even before I was a vegan.

Buddy, you talking about raw cacao nibs?  I used to get those from a place that sold different types of herbs and stuff, and they are very good.

Never had those.  I tried the cacao nibs back when I was on a natural medicines kind of kick.  They were supposed to be good for something or other, don't remember anymore.  But they were really good, much better than I would have expected.
