Raw Fed Ferrets! - Pics!

Warning, there are pics of ferrets eating raw meat. Just an FYI, if the topic title didn't make that clear.

And because I couldn't help borrowing this pic - These are not mine! xD A person on a ferret forum I'm on breeds raw fed ferrets, and they've posted pics of the babies.

6 4 week old baby ferrets all chowing down on a chicken drumstick.

Gonna try to get some frozen pinkie mice this week and get my fuzzballs used to those, so they can get them as snacks. xD I'll post pics if/when I can get them. :3

Haha, thanks guys! xD Yeah, Coco's a little goofball, she's such a strange girl. Half the time she acts like she has no idea what you're talking about. xD

I honestly can't believe how I fed kibble previously. On raw, these guys are doing so well and so healthy it's almost unbelievable.

On the subject of frozen mice: The ones you get at the store are usually expensive for no reason. You can get them much cheaper at a reptile show or places online, like the Mouse Factory. Jade's ferts usually get frozen meeces and rats for their feedings

Oh yeah, I know. :3 I've never heard of the Mouse Factory before, I'll check them out. A lot of the prey feeders I know order from Rodent Pro.
I just want to get at least a pack or two of pinkies from the store to get them started, and see just how eager they'll be. If it goes well, I'll go ahead and put in an order for a larger quantity. The pricing will hurt, but I'm not planning on feeding them meece every day, so it should last for a while. I'm hoping they'll take to them.

Jade switched her ferts to regular mice and quail with no problems or in between periods, so yours should like their pinkie snacks. I find tat the pricing only hurts straight from pet stores. Frozen bulk is usually only a couple cents per meece, after all ;)
