My brother tried to fuck me for 9 dollars today.  I guess that shows how much I'm worth.

Wow, what a biased piece of writing. I do wonder how far up HSUS ass his nose is - seemed pretty far.

Nice comment on the article AHDN.
Animals are animals, they are not little people in fur coats.

Carnivore, I am glad you found us.

It never cases to amaze me that people like this Leonard guy are unable to get their head around the simple fact that normal people do not abuse animals just because there is no law that will put them in jail if they do.

While a few people in this world get a kick out of hurting animals, the vast majority do not and I am sure Ohioans are no exception.

I am sick to death of the few dictating to the many.  The definition of humane has become so skewed over the last few years people have totally lost touch with what is appropriate treatment for animals.

Humane treatment of animals no longer means treating animals animals with respect, kindness and compassion, it now means treating animals as though they were human, humanising animals is NOT appropriate treatment.  Animals are animals, they are not little people in fur coats.

Never hit your mother with a shovel.  It will leave a dull impression on her mind.

“In the end we will conserve only what we love.
We will love only what we understand.
We will understand only what we are taught.”
Baba Dioum

“The natural history programmes you do must cost an awful lot of money and you’re using it to show this sort of thing. It would be much better if you took that money and used it to train lions to eat grass.”

LOL. Thanks DL! I do think it's more than just a case of the few dictating to the many. PETA is a cult in every logical definition of the term: they have a f#@%ed-up "messiah" who's doing this primarily for the money and power, a bunch of followers whose hearts may be in the right place but their heads are far enough up their asses to see their own tonsils without a mirror, a policy of intolerance of any form of dissent from their members, a history of brain-washing the young and naive as far back as kindergarten and hinting at a (largely false) promise of sex with young nubile (albeit, clueless) female members for those lonely and desperate male losers who otherwise wouldn't give them the time of day. Not to mention a policy of "do as I say, not as I do" hypocracy.

Peta seems to subscribe to the same socialist dogma as other free-loading associations, ie: a "we're right, everybody else is wrong, and the 'great un-washed' had better come to heel or there's going to be hell to pay." Ingrid and company see themselves as all-powerful and superior to the masses, yet in reality they have just enough clout to fall in love with their own voices.

Of course, the real losers due to PETA's existence are the animals they claim to protect. Their words and actions set back the plight of legitimate animal welfare groups--- who are doing their level best to protect animals and persecute those guilty of inhumane treatment of animals--- by a thousand years.

Sometimes I'll try to reason with a new PETA member if he or she is being civil and at least making the appearance of being open-minded. But by and large I see no reason to be nice to these morons. If they want to take the extremist route and declare war on those who don't subscribe to their totalitarian and severely flawed logic I'm happy to oblige. If they continue with their hostilities lets deal it back to 'em in spades!

(End rant)

DL, I really like that statement - it may have to go in my signature.

There is a facebook site titled PUTPETA: People for the Unethical Treatment of PETA that pulls no punches.

* H$U$

Thinking of donating to H$U$?

Someone who takes Wendy Malick or Wayne Pacelle up on their infomercial request for "just $19 dollars a month" will pay HSUS $228 over the course of a year. Of that, just $1.03 will reach a pet shelter.
