Guest Board rules and guidelines
« on: October 13, 2006, 09:01 am »
Welcome to peta-sucks!

To make your stay more enjoyable, please take a few moments to check out some rules and guidelines.

1 - Feel free to express your opinions!

You will not be banned simply for having a differing opinion than the general consensus here.

2 - Please do your best to remain civil.

Neither guests nor registered Peta-Sucks members are allowed to make personal attacks in this forum. Posts containing personal attacks will be deleted or edited at the discretion of the moderators.  Take note - disagreeing with someone is not necessarily a personal attack..  If anyone has a question regarding a post, please refer to #3.
Animal rights is an emotional subject for both sides, however mud-slinging doesn't accomplish anything.  We try to be as patient as possible, but at times we have guests who are dead set on being as offensive as possible.  These guests eventually lose the priviledge of flame resistance.

3 - If you have a problem with a registered member, please email me, Megan1230, Star, or crosshairs.

Our email addresses can be found in our profiles.  This will go a long long way towards keeping our board as civil as possible.

4 - Be prepared to debate.

As a whole, the membership here enjoys debating quite a bit.  If you feel the urge, please browse our other boards.  You will find us debating with each other often.  If you have never debated in the past, don't worry about it, we don't have the official debating rulebook or anything.  Just remember that you will be expected to back up any assertations that you make and form at least somewhat coherent arguments.  This isn't anything that we don't do ourselves, so you can do it too.

5 - Ask questions!

Our membership is comprised of people from many different backgrounds and professions.  We can field just about any concievable question you can come up with.  Remember, the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked.

6 - Have fun!

Your conscience is the measure of the honesty of your selfishness. Listen to it carefully.  ~The Messiah's Handbook

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.  ~Robert A. Heinlein

A classic must never die!
I would love to have a bobcat in my backyard. I would leave him big bowls of tofu and other vegan goodies - we would eventually become friends. - David Warwak

Thanks BadAttitude!

If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, then there is an Adopt A Highway sign with PETA's name on it heading to one of Dante's innermost levels.

Thinking of donating to H$U$?

Someone who takes Wendy Malick or Wayne Pacelle up on their infomercial request for "just $19 dollars a month" will pay HSUS $228 over the course of a year. Of that, just $1.03 will reach a pet shelter.
