Seemed simple enough at the time

Mowing the lawn that is.

I just wanted to mow the grass verge and last years old weeds.

The grass verge in front of my place has steep sides and is flat at the bottom, but on the flat part there is a fence.  So going down the slope to mow the bottom part was OK, but getting out again...................

In the end I had to cut down some caragganas so that I could take a less steep route.

Then I came round the back to cut down the weeds and got stuck on a bit of high ground.  I tried reverse but that didn't get m anywhere.  I got off and pushed, forwards, backwards.  Nothing.  Zip, zilch, nada, the thing won't move.  It is well and truly stuck.  So I have abandoned it (temporarily) while I gather some strength, and the motivation to go and move the thing.

I should stick with quadrupedal lawnmowers, they're less trouble

i would definately stick with the lawnmowers with a pulse.  granted they might raid the vegie garden on occasion and other pain in the ass things, but they wont leave you stranded at the bottom of your property with no reverse...

Well it is still stuck.  I have abandoned it until next weekend when I will have to pull it out with the truck.

Thinking of donating to H$U$?

Someone who takes Wendy Malick or Wayne Pacelle up on their infomercial request for "just $19 dollars a month" will pay HSUS $228 over the course of a year. Of that, just $1.03 will reach a pet shelter.
