Politically speaking, yes.  They can blame it on the current President.  The same applies to Conservatives when there is a Liberal president.

Put that a step further.

We'll use the tax cuts, as an example.

The liberals want to repeal the tax cuts.

But everyone, who has paid taxes, has benefitted from it.

So, the left, blames Bush, and demonizes him, saying the tax cuts, have bankrupted America.

Proof shows otherwise as the economy has recovered, and continues to develope.

People are making more money for themselves, and are able to buy nice things for their families.

So, do you think that the left is wrong, in this instance? It's a real life example.
