Sorry - I just could never live in a place with that kind of weather. Just not my thing.

Were it up to me, if FL was no so full of elderly and stupid people, I'd gladly move down there.

Builds character is what it does.  This time of year is the shittiest.  Fishing seasons close, but the weather is still cold and shitty.  Its still dark quite a bit.  I probably do the bulk of my yearly drinking in the next 45 days because there is literally nothing else to do.

Kind of reminds me of when I lived in WVa for a while. There really is nothing do there except drink during much of the winter depending on where you live.

What? It's minus freaking 30 out right now, and I just spent the last half hour shoveling snow off my driveway. Grr. And I could never dream of getting those nice watermelons and oranges from my garden. Jealous.

But let me see, when the snow finally clears up, we're thinking of chives, scallions, a variety of beans, tomatoes, strawberries, and potentially some raspberries. Also, I'm eagerly awaiting a shipment of a gojiberry plant from China, when we moved I had to leave my original one at my old house.

Flowers-wise, we're hoping for some tulips, sunflowers, and lilies. We also planted some weird random bulbs we found at a garden sale, so we'll see how those end up.

Yay! I'm so excited about gardening. When we first moved here I was lik 15 months pregnant so I couldn't plant anythng and after the baby was born it was too late. I cant wait to stat a garden!! I don't even know what I'm going to plant.

Ugh.  It was 17 degrees here today.   And I have a black thumb.  I wish it would just be nice enough out for some in season veggies.

I love fried zucchini, but it's not worth it when they are out of season.
