No worries, I was a mate on the Ark.

I am from the Navy and I don't know mine. I don't even know the Sailor's Creed. But I am an airdale which means we are much more relaxed about that than the rest of the Navy. In other words, as long I we show up on time, ready to work, and have a decent attitude about it, no one cares.

I guess you right though, marines are fucked up in the head and all about the Corps.

"Eternal Father, Strong to Save", shipmate.

Did you just shipmate me, Boatchuck? ;)

But look on the bright side, at least they didn't poop on them.

Apparently these Marines were part of a sniper team and the previous summer their unit had lost seven fellow Marines. Course, back in WWII Patton pee'd on a dead Nazis and everyone was cool with it. Not that peeing on dead enemy combatants is kosher. But look on the bright side, at least they didn't poop on them.

I think the name is Anchors Away. I prefer the Irish song 'What do you do with a drunk sailor'. At least that's what I think what the name of it is.

Isn't the Navy song "It's raining men"? I kid, I kid. Interservice rivalry and all that rot. They came out with The Airmen's Creed a couple years ago for the Air Force and we had to learn that crap. I, as a SNCO, had to have my troops recite it every Monday morning at roll call. We would finish it and I would then tell them to drink deep from the blue Kool aide. I was told by my boss that I shouldn't say that after we recited the creed but I was retiring so I didn't give a crap. Everyone of us from SNCO down (with a few ate up exceptions) thought it was the dumbest thing in the world to have to recite it like we were in grade school. (It was some officer's idea) It was right up there with HOOAH being said by Air Force people. I would remind the Chief that that was an Army saying and I left the Army so I wouldn't have to say crap like that. But I digress from the original topic-peeing on dead goat fornicators.

As it should be. But that punishment is a bit harsh... I don't think anyone knows their branch's song/hymn/whatever anymore after basic/boot camp.

I bet a Marine knows his branches song. Heck, I retired from the Air Force and I know their song and my branches song.

We all may feel a sudden urge to take a leak when the shooting starts, but I’m glad to see Lt Col Allen West standing up for these young soldiers. They’ve been constantly reminded that these terrorists attacked their homeland and killed thousands of innocent Americans, they’ve been told that they are protecting their homeland from murderous barbarians, etc. I don’t see what these soldiers did as any more offensive than the incidents that Lt Col Allen West spoke of.

What I don’t like is wimpy ass Panetta not standing up for the men that HE sends into harms way with no defined victory and limited rules of engagement just to drag the war out. I’m sure Panetta would be shocked and find it deplorable to learn that ”drop weapons” goes on, even though it’s posted all over the internet. I hope everyone will remember that at the end of the day, Panetta goes home and climbs in a soft bed with clean white sheets…not so for those Marines.

Thinking of donating to H$U$?

Someone who takes Wendy Malick or Wayne Pacelle up on their infomercial request for "just $19 dollars a month" will pay HSUS $228 over the course of a year. Of that, just $1.03 will reach a pet shelter.
