Mel, I agree I like the second one better. But I LOVE the mockery!

I have to admit - I love the second one better because it's truly amazing.

And, I love how Dodge still has the announcer say monkey because for all we know it's a squirrel or another animal there.

So... in the end, PETA is mocked, not a lot of money lost on Dodge's side, the sale goes on, and the monkey gets a second royalty for having his name in the ad (well maybe not the third, but it'd be really funny).

BTW - Old Navy also has an ad with a monkey with the mannequins for a jeans commercial. All he does is ring a gong though for the plastic dummies, so I guess that's why they're giving him a bye - he can't be harmed (never mind said monkey in the Dodge ad wasn't either).

Excellent thinking on the part of Dodge.

Also, it's an ape, not a monkey.

Settle down, Mr. Scientist.

I'm not a fan of dressing up monkies, but that was a great responce to PETA's nagging.

Trunk Monkey was also hilarious.   :sausage:

I love Trunk Monkey!

PETA is also against them, obviously.

This isn't the first time that Dodge has featured a Chimp in one of their commercials.  Wonder if PeTA was there for the first one... ?

Probably... not like they ever miss a chance.

And here is a good one. Dodge made a commercial with a monkey in it and PETA bitched.

Of course.

So they made a second one with a digitally-erased monkey.

Good.

The second commercial is funnier then the first.

I just googled it and I can attest to that!

Take that 'ya PeTArds!

Thinking of donating to H$U$?

Someone who takes Wendy Malick or Wayne Pacelle up on their infomercial request for "just $19 dollars a month" will pay HSUS $228 over the course of a year. Of that, just $1.03 will reach a pet shelter.
