The fact is we are the biggest group because we succeed in getting attention. ... The fact is we may be doing all sorts of things on a campaign but the one thing that gets attention is the outrageous thing. It simply goes to prove to us each time, that that is the thing that’s going to work; and so we won’t shirk from doing that facet — in addition to all the other things we do that you never hear about because no one cares. – Ingrid Newkirk, Satya, January, 2001

xxRick O' Barry speaks on why he refuses to protest in Taiji | 02 Sep 10

Maybe others should follow his lead. He got his footage. He educated. Protest is non-existent and on day one of the dolphin hunt (yesterday) not one dolphin was caught.

It seems someone is suffering from a severe case of sour grapes.

My replies to his rantings are in red.

There is no evidence of this having been sent to GoDaddy, but if it were I'm sure they would drop everything else to deal with this important matter.

Just for the record, I have not violated any agreement I have made with GoDaddy.com

Gliding gracefully beneath the crystal-clear waters this Asian bull elephant cuts a mystical figure.

Weighing 3.5 tons and standing at just under four metres, meet Rajan one of the last surviving elephants who helped with logging on the Andaman and Nicobar Island chain near the end of the Bay of Bengal.

Photographed by Cesare Naldi, these amazing images show the unique bond between 60-year-old Rajan and 58-year-old mahout (elephant driver), Nasru.

xxDoes a vegan...? | 14 Jun 10

22:11:32 by Tickles | Views: 1515 | Comments: 86

Do vegans  not  drive a car because cars are known to expel pollution and thus contribute  to an environmental disaster?

Do vegans avoid driving entirely because thousands of small insects are  constantly killed as they fly into the car?
Do they avoid it altogether because    probably, some small animal will run out in front and be killed?

Do vegans not live in a house, as the home in which they lived was most likely  a habitat for thousands of different animals?

If a  vegan's child and cat were stuck inside a burning building, which would  they rush off to save first?

Do vegans not allow their children to receive vaccinations created b

xxFerret Bathtub Time (Lots of pics) | 11 Jun 10

20:12:54 by hollo | Views: 185 | Comments: 1

So, since it's been a year since the ferrets have seen the inside of a bathtub, I thought it was high time to get them wet. I debated actually shampooing them, but didn't think it was worth it. Good choice, I think, because they're fluffy and smell good and all I used was plain water. xD
